Below is a sample of the shade of hide I'm currently cutting straps from. The leather is not dyed and the color will darken over time.

Purchase A Strap

I'll need to know your basic length.

  1. Measure your current strap and describe that measurement to me.

    --- OR ---

  2. Hold your instrument in your normal playing position while standing.
  3. Have another person hold a flexible tape measure on (NOT AROUND) the headstock, heel button, or top of the scroll (whichever point you want to fasten to). 
  4. Run the tape measure up around your playing shoulder, and down to the end button.
  5. Banjo measurements should be taken from the bracket bolt closest to the neck to one closest to the tailpiece that you want to fasten to.

All straps can adjust a few inches shorter or longer than the measurement you give me.

Let me know if the front of the strap will attach to the headstock, heel button, or F-scroll AND if you have a standard or pick-up end button.

VINTAGE STYLE STRAP - $85

Made from the same high quality harness leather as the standard guitar and banjo straps.

Shoulder piece is 2" wide by 12" long full grain harness leather. Hand punched needle holes and pale yellow artificial sinew stitching hand sewn around the entire perimeter. Hand beveled edges and fully lined with suede leather.

7/8" wide harness leather strap, skived the entire length to the perfect thickness to accept the button holes. The shoulder piece strap slots are carefully cut and shaped for a precise fit to grip the strap tightly. Once adjusted for position, the shoulder piece will not move.

Non-adjustable fit at heel button and end button. I'll need an exact strap length measurement from hole to hole.  Price includes extra end button holes if you want them (must be at least 1 1/4" apart). A beautifully made and nicely detailed strap. Ideal for electric and acoustic guitars.  Tastefully done headstock, adjustable heel and/or end button tab, or banjo attachment options available for no additional charge.

Non-Adjustable Button Holes - No Charge

Optional for no additional charge, I can punch the button holes directly into either the 7/8" wide or 1" wide strap (no button tabs/lacing). I'll need an exact strap length measured hole to hole.

Double End Button Tab + $3.00

Fits both standard and pick-up buttons. Holes are about 1 1/4" apart with the pick-up hole on the bottom.

Artificial sinew edge stitching added to any shoulder piece, hand sewn into hand punched needle holes. Please allow additional time for delivery.
   

Hand Laced Strap + $22.00

Hand laced leather lacing added to any regular size guitar or banjo strap. Lacing will cover 24" of the strap and will be centered on the shoulder piece. Looks real nice with Non-Adjustable Button Hole option on both ends. Please allow additional time for delivery.
